Sweet Emersyn Joy, you are truly a JOY in your Mommy and Daddy's lives!! We couldn't ask or dream for anything more in a child. God created you just to fit our family and more importantly than that, God created you for a specific purpose here on Earth. He knew you before we even knew you, and He loved you before we did and still loves you more than we ever could (if you can even imagine that). Our prayer for your life is that you would accept Christ and His promises at an early age, walk with Him daily, have an unwavering, obedient faith, and be a light unto the world. We cannot promise you a perfect life, but we can promise you an in-explainable joy, peace, comfort, and forever promise of eternity by walking with the Lord. We love you baby girl, and cannot tell you enough how thankful we are to have you!! That God picked US to be your parents!! Happy 1st Birthday!!!!
Birthday Party
We had Emersyn's birthday party the Saturday before her actual birthday at our home.
It was a pink pumpkin theme!! We had a great time and her daddy and I really enjoyed planning the party. We did all the food, cakes, and decorations ourselves so it was fun teamwork for our little girl :)

Emersyn decided she wanted to take an extra long nap on her birthday, so she was about 30 minutes late attending her party (and this was only because I opened her bedroom door and turned off the sound machine!) So our friends and family had a little time before to play outside without her!!

Present Time!! I was really nervous about her being able to sit and stay focused on opening presents, but she loved it! Her favorite was pulling the tissue paper out of the gift bags.
She loved her car!! So much that we could not get her out of it to take pictures at the end of the party. Still sad that I missed getting pictures of her with her grandparents and great grandparents, but happy she had a good time!!

Her Actual Birthday - October 28th
This was first thing when she woke up!!
Birthday breakfast!! I made her pancakes with sprinkles and a side of orange. She is still trying to wake up :)

Peek a Boo time
Her daddy had to work on her birthday :( So Mimi and I took her to the Greenville Children's Museum for the first time. She had a ball!! This was her first time using crayons. We went to story time and the teacher read a book about a pumpkin and then they got to decorate their own pumpkin.
She enjoyed dumping all the crayons out of the container instead of actually coloring.

She wasn't crazy about it. Her daddy says it was because I didn't give her true ice cream ;)
