How Old: Thirteen Months
Teeth: 9! Four on top, four on bottom, and she cut her first molar. She ran a fever with this one, had diaper rash, runny nose, and even bled in the bathtub and the next morning had blood spots on her sheets... poor baby. But she was a trooper!! Now we have to work each morning and night to reach that back tooth while brushing :)
Clothes: She is in a mixture of clothes from 12 months to 18 months. She truly needs longer shirts than pants but shorter sleeves and tighter necks :) So we have to roll over many of her pants that are 18 months and roll the sleeves of the shirts just to fit her upper body length. She is in size 4 diapers.
Sleep: She is still sleeping through the night!! And her daddy and I are playing catch up from all the sleep we lost in her earlier months :) She usually goes to bed around 7:30 - 8:00 and sleeps until anywhere from 6:30-7:30. I have been doing 2 naps a day for her, but she has begun cutting one of the naps shorter than usual. So one nap is typically 30-45 minutes and the other 1 1/2 -2 hours. I really think she is edging towards wanting one nap a day.
Food: She eats 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. Her favorite foods this month are: any cheeses, fruits (especially bananas, apple sauce, grapes, mandarin oranges, and apples), goldfish, macaroni, grilled chicken (she loves Chick fil A), and breads. I give her a bottle still in the morning when she wakes of 6oz whole milk and then she gets milk at all her meals in a straw sippy cup. She can have water anytime throughout the day.
Here is her schedule give or take 30 minutes.
6:30 Wake/Bottle
7:30 Oatmeal/Fruit
9:15 Snack
9:15 Snack
9:30 - 10:15 Nap
11:30 Lunch/Milk
2:00 - 3:30 Nap
3:30 Snack
5:30 Dinner/Milk
7:00 Bath/Stories/Bottle/Bedtime by 7:30ish
Highlights from the Month:
Well, since I am writing this way later (mommy fail), it is hard to remember exactly what happened from month 12-13. This is why I want to continue blogging her months!! One of my college roommates is expecting her first baby girl in May and she told me her baby kicked for the first time this week. She is 24 weeks along, and I told her I would have to go back and look at my blogs from pregnancy to see when Emersyn first kicked because I could not remember... again this is why I document it :) My brain is not reliable enough!!
Some highlights I can remember....
- We had a great time with Emersyn on Halloween. You can see in the pictures below, but my favorite thing was when we asked her where our little pumpkin was, she pointed to herself :) She also ate her first piece of candy on Halloween... a Twizzler.
- She is eating more and more table foods and really enjoying them. She pigged out over Thanksgiving and loved all the homemade mac and cheese, dressing, and desserts. Yes, I let her have dessert... it was a holiday.
- She melts my heart each night before bed. We read her a Bible story and then say a night night prayer. She folds her sweet little hands together for the prayer each night as soon as we close her children's Bible. She also does it before meals. PRECIOUS!!
Spaghetti is one of her favorites... of course it's the messiest meal ha!
We go to story time at the library when we can on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She loves the books, songs, playing with other kids, and the playground outside!!
Her cousin Matt had a swim party at the YMCA and she LOVED playing in the water :)

Her daddy babysat one night for me so they rode around the yard in the wagon and made a trip to the garden to pick a cucumber!!
She loves playing in the cabinets
