Sleep: Still loving it!!! Bedtime is as soon as Emersyn is down for me :)
Best moment this week: Ahh!! There were a lot of great moments!! Daniel and I got to go on a date!! Day dates are my absolute favorite because even not pregnant, I'm simply not a night owl. We left for Greenville around 1pm, and stopped at the mall first to look for me some maternity clothes. Then we headed to downtown Greenville where we walked around for a bit and went in and out of a few shops. Daniel wanted coffee so we took a coffee break and enjoyed having time to talk to each other without being interrupted by a toddler. We had 5:30 dinner reservations (because we are senior citizens haha) at Sassafras where I enjoyed delicious sweet potato fries and grits. I had shrimp on top of my grits, but I was a bit disappointed because they were too salty for me. After dinner, we walked down to Marble Slab for ice cream. My normal is chocolate with pecan mixing... well not with this baby. My new normal is sweet cream with strawberries, blueberries, and granola mixed in. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! After ice cream, we decided nothing would be better than getting home in time to relax with a movie in bed!! We headed home from our date a bit before 7pm!! We laughed on the way home because most dates begin around 7pm... not when you are exhausted parents :)
The following Monday we had our 16 week doctor's appointment. Everything looked great!! Heart rate was 144 bpm, and we found out the gender!! We have planned a reveal party for the next Sunday afternoon to share with friends and family.
Then, we enjoyed Valentine's Day as a family. My mom brought us heart shaped biscuits for breakfast from Chick Fil A and she stayed the morning with Emersyn and me. The night before Emersyn, Daniel, and I had made heart shaped cookies with frosting and sprinkles, so Emersyn, Mama, and I delivered some to Emersyn's neighborhood friends. That afternoon Emersyn and I went to Daniel's parents to deliver cookies to them and Emersyn's cousins. Then, we came home to pick up Daniel and go out to dinner with Uncle Clay at Copper River. Daniel bought flowers for Emersyn and me and several other goodies. And of course we ended the night asking Emersyn if she wanted to have a slumber party with mama and daddy (she gets to sleep in our bed about twice a month and LOVES it). She was thrilled!!
Miss Anything? My speed, being the productive morning person I normally am, enjoying food
Movement: Yes!! I feel little flutters here and there, but nothing strong at all.

Food
cravings: I wouldn't really say I have any cravings. It's more like, what can I eat that doesn't turn my stomach. With Emersyn, I had definite cravings and LOVED FOOD by now. Still eating simply to keep me going. I mostly rely on cereal, pizza, yogurt, popcorn, pastas, wraps, banana and peanut butter, and G2 blue Gatorade.
Anything
making you queasy or sick: Anything heavy, desserts unless they are light and fruity, strong smells in the kitchen. We ate at Momom's house for the first time since I've been sick. I thought I was pretty much over my sickness... but my belly is obviously still not strong enough for grandma's cooking. I had terrible cramps the whole drive home to the point I was praying I was not losing my baby. I was sick the whole rest of the day until bedtime. The same thing happened when we ate with my parents for Daddy's birthday. Mama had a delicious meal, but it was obviously too much for my stomach to handle. Not sure I will be eating cube steak for a LONG time!! I was sick that night again.
Have you
started to show yet: I think so!!
Gender: IT'S A BOY!!
Symptoms: Low energy, light headed when bending down and up too fast, many foods make me sick, gag when brushing teeth, pregnancy brain, could sleep all day :)
Belly
Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Telling our family and friends that it's a boy!!

We had the Gender Reveal on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at our church's rec building. Daniel and I knew the gender already, but not Emersyn. She has been saying about 80% of the time that it was a baby sis. We ordered powdered filled baseballs to hit to reveal the gender!! We had a great time despite that I was sick the whole night before and nauseated that whole day.
Ready to pitch and reveal
Blue for BOY!!
Emersyn's immediate reaction... not sure if the powder busting scared her or if she was a little disappointed that it was a boy.
