15 Months Old

These were taken the day she turned 15 months old!!

How Old: Fifteen Months
Weight: 19.6 pounds (7th percentile)
Length: 31 inches (70th percentile)
Head: 18 inches (50th percentile)
Teeth: 12 that are all the way in (4 top, 4 bottom, 4 molars), but she has been cutting her eye teeth for a few weeks now.  I can clearly see the white, but they are not all the way through yet.
Clothes: She is in 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.  Her shoe size is 5 now!!  Time for us to buy new shoes because all of hers are 4 and 4 1/2.  We had her measured and were shocked she had grown a whole size since the fall.
Sleep: She is doing great with sleep!  We have officially adjusted to one nap now and it typically lasts from 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  She does have a flop day every once in a while where the nap is only 1 1/2 hours long or where we have to do 2 naps because of something different in our schedule.  She is sleeping at least 11-12 hours at night.  We did have a few nights in a row where she ended up in the bed with us during the night, but I think it was because of teething.
Food: Her favorite foods include spaghetti, cheese, any fruit (her favorites this month are raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and oranges), goldfish, yogurt bites, cottage cheese, peanut butter, smoothies, oatmeal, and anything that is on my plate :)  We have to cheer her on to eat her veggies and most meats.
Here is her schedule give or take 30 minutes.
7:00 Wake/Bottle
8:00 Breakfast
9:30 Snack
11:00 Lunch
11:3Nap
2:30 Snack
5:30 Dinner
7:00 Bath/Stories/Bedtime
Emersyn's Highlights
- She has learned to say her version of "thank-you" anytime someone gives her something.  It's adorable.
- She LOVES going to the library and is quite funny dancing to the songs!!  She is not shy at all.  In fact, she makes her rounds to most of the mom's in the room and may or may not sometimes plop right down in their laps.  (And I was worried being a stay at home mom would make my child shy!!!)
- She loves songs with hand motions and will mimic them as best she can.  Some of her favorites are: "If You're Happy and You Know It," "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed," "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes," and "The Wheels on the Bus."
- We have been working on sharing and being kind to friends this month.  I know it's a struggle for all children at this age, but we will continue to reinforce good behavior and teach kindness.  We have used time out several times since she turned one, but I am just not sure she quite comprehends it completely yet.
Emersyn Loves: Playing with other children, going outside, riding in the car, going places, tickling her family, reading books, bath time, her paci and blanket, baby dolls!!!, visiting her family members, church, the library, her cousins, blueberries
Emersyn Dislikes: She is a pretty happy child and is typically only fussy or unhappy if she is over tired or hungry.  I really cannot think of anything she just really dislikes this month besides having to sit in time out and getting her foot measured at the shoe store.
Emersyn is Learning to: Use her spoon correctly, walk up steps instead of crawling up them, make new sounds and say new words, help us by putting arms in and out of clothes, identify many objects when we ask for them, mimic our actions (how to put on deodorant, brushing teeth, etc)
