24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks
Baby size: Cantaloupe, 1.32 lb, 11.81 in (crown to heel)
Total weight gain/loss: I weighed Thursday at the doctor and have gained 12 pounds from prepregnancy weight.
Maternity clothes? Yes!  Still searching for an Easter dress and bathing suit though.
Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: Sleep has been good!!  Still having crazy dreams and sometimes wake thinking they are real, but other than those interruptions I'm good.
Best moment this week:  Emersyn was still sluggish all weekend from the stomach virus.  She did go with her daddy to Lowe's and a seed store Saturday to pick out things for their garden, which was so adorable!!  But she came home and took a 4 hour nap!!  They planted the garden when she FINALLY woke from her nap.  I took her to the doctor Monday because she was still having symptoms and low appetite, and I was worried it was strep again.  Thankfully that was negative.  It was apparently a long lasting stomach virus!!  We were able to meet my friend Monica's new baby boy for the first time this past Tuesday.  I had forgotten how LITTLE and snuggly newborns are... made me super excited to hold our baby boy.  We also celebrated my grandpa's birthday and visited Daniel's aunt who had been in the hospital and my cousin who had surgery.  I love feeling better and having the time to be around and visit our family and friends!!

Miss Anything? Being able to eat decent portions without feeling totally bloated or that I am about to pop!!   If I eat a meal, I have to wait an hour or so before I can stomach dessert.
Movement: Yes!  I have been feeling him more throughout the day, and the kicks are getting stronger.  I felt sick all night Tuesday through Thursday so I did a lot of laying down. I felt him kick more than I ever have!!

Food cravings: I've liked pizza throughout the whole pregnancy, so Saturday we went to a pizza place for my craving!!  Good thing Daniel and Emersyn love pizza too.  Daniel grilled chicken one night last week and I used it for wraps that were really yummy!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Tuesday night I started cramping pretty bad and had some reflux.  I figured it was probably something I ate for dinner because I ate black eyed peas and cabbage which are two things that are hard to digest.  The cramping continued all day Wednesday, and I spent the majority of the day on our couch.  I became concerned Wednesday afternoon, so I called the doctor's office and the nurse said it was too late for them to take me that day but to go to the hospital in labor and delivery to make sure I was not having premature labor.  Well, that's a way to scare the goodness out of a pregnant mama.  I asked her if I could please make an appointment for Thursday morning at the normal office, and I would go to the hospital if it got worse.  I did cramp all of Wednesday night and was stomach virus sick two times.  I was not sure if I caught the virus a week later from Emersyn, had another UTI, or if it was preterm labor cramps.  I went Thursday morning to the doctor and they checked for all of the above and everything looked good thankfully!!  I am assuming I had a touch of the stomach bug and instead of be more nauseated, I was more cramping through it all.
Have you started to show yet: Yep!
Gender: It's a BOY!!
Symptoms:  Same bloating, heavy calves at night, some indigestion, tire easily
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: All of the Easter events ahead!!  I am hoping to get some great pictures of Emersyn and our family, and I am looking forward to all the fun family time.  I know Emersyn will enjoy all the egg hunts more this year and egg dying.  I am also hoping to share a little more of the Easter story with her since she can comprehend better than last year.  I have been telling her that Easter is to celebrate "Jesus is Alive!

Dressed and ready to go with daddy to pick out garden plants and seeds.  She said she was dressed like her Mimi because she has yellow gym shorts too and like her daddy because of the Under Armor label.

 Daddy's girl

She did not want to get her feet in the dirt at first.

 Putting out the beans

We have magnetic locks on our cabinets to child proof them... well, apparently Emersyn is too smart for them because she knows how to use the magnetic key to open the cabinets.  She came in my room one evening and said, I picked this out for supper mommy.

Riding her bike from Aunt Cindy and Uncle Eddis

Playing with Lilly!!  We went to meet her new baby brother Lawson.  He was sleeping most of the time, so I wasn't able to get his picture
