33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks
Baby size: Honeydew, 4.23 lb, 17.20 in (crown to heel)
Total weight gain/loss: At my doctor's appointment Monday I had gained 21 pounds.  I was kind of relieved to have only gained one pound from the last visit since I had spent a week at the beach.
Maternity clothes? Yes!
Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good.  It was nice to get home to MY OWN BED after our week at the beach.  I did have a rough night this past Saturday.  We returned from the beach Friday, and by that point I was holding a good bit of fluid from swelling (beach humidity, car ride, more eat out food than I'm used to).   I had to get up several times to use the bathroom.
Best moment this week:
We were able to see Brayden this past Monday at our doctor's appointment.  Sadly he would not cooperate for a good profile picture or really any picture worth posting, but it was still nice to hear his heartbeat and receive updates on him.  His heartbeat was in the 150s, so higher than the 130s he's been staying in the past several visits.  He is now measuring in the 65%ile and weighs around 4lbs 12oz!!  He's done a lot of growing in the past few weeks.   The cyst on his brain is still there, but it has not grown in size at all so again the doctors seemed to feel it was okay.  He has officially turned head down!!  YAY!!  And I can put money on when he actually decided to turn.  I spent a lot of time with my legs elevated on the couch this past Saturday after returning from the beach.  I literally had to get up every 30-45 minutes to use the bathroom because I had retained so much fluid.  During all that sitting, brother was flipping and flopping like crazy.  I also had several severe sharp pains in my back and lower stomach areas, like he was pinching my nerves.  The next day, Daniel commented that my shape looked totally different.  He said I was showing baby "more out front instead of in my sides."  I stopped to look in the mirror, and I noticed it too.  I actually could see a little bit of what used to be my waist and a whole lot of baby in the front.  So, my guess is he decided to turn on Saturday just in time for my appointment :)
Miss Anything? Being able to eat a decent meal for dinner.  By the time dinner arrives, I am so bloated I can barely stand to put much of anything in my mouth.  I literally feel like if I were to stick a pin in my stomach it would pop it is so tight.
Movement: He's still flipping around.  It does feel different now that he had turned, but he is the most active when I am laying on the couch or bed.  There have been several times Emersyn has been leaning against my belly and felt him move all around.  He also has had the hiccups several times this week.

Food cravings: The more basic, the better.  I still like pizza once a week or so and cereal once a day at some point.  I was pretty excited to return home to my Vitamix from vacation because I had missed my smoothies.  Sandwiches are great, and if I go out to eat, I usually look for a pasta dish.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Breakfast meats, I think I'm all done with seafood, desserts do not interest me unless they are light or fruity, and I still have not been able to step foot into a Mexican restaurant since I got SO SICK at 19 weeks from eating at one.  I do not want to smell or even look at salsa.
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: It's a BOY!!
Symptoms: Bloating, swelling, feel cramped in stomach area and hard to sit down, heavy legs at night, throat burn occasionally in later afternoons,
Belly Button in or out? In, but it is very tight and tender!!  I cannot stand for it to hit against something or be touched.  It almost feels like it is bruised all around.
Wedding rings on or off? They lay in my jewerly box 90% of the time now.
Looking forward to: We are taking Emersyn on a little trip this weekend to Tweetsie Railroad, just the three of us.  We wanted to do something special with her before life was turned upside down with a new brother ;)  I'm especially excited because the weather looks perfect for this pregnant mama... 75 degrees!!  Y'all can have these 80-90 degree days.

I took Emmie girl to Christian Supply to sign up for their summer reading program.  She was SO proud to get her reading log and has wanted to read several books every morning to record.

She was also proud of her little fish prize they gave her for signing up!!  Of course she picked the purple fish... because purple is her favorite color.

We also had a fun afternoon at the park with her friend Lilly this week.  They played HARD and so well together :)

Sweet friends on Thursday at our library day.  Lilly, Emersyn, and Harper.

Emersyn signed up for the summer reading program at our downtown library.  Can you find her name on the wall??  Hint: it is purple ;)
