35 Weeks

How far along? 35 weeks
Baby size: Coconut, 5.25 lb, 18.19 in (crown to heel)
Total weight gain/loss: I had a doctor's appointment today and have gained 23 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes!  Dresses feel the best because they do not push on my stomach, and when I am at home, I am usually in tshirts.
Stretch marks? Not so far.

Sleep: Sleep has been off and on.  This week has been a pattern.  One morning I will wake around 3am and I'm up the rest of the day, and then the next day I sleep until Emersyn wakes around 7-7:30am.  On Father's Day I woke at 3am so decided to visit Walmart and then grab Daniel Starbucks for Father's Day all before 6:30am!!
Best moment this week: There were many great moments this week!!  We were able to celebrate Father's Day with the men in our family.  We took Daniel out to eat Friday night for a steak per his request.  Emersyn and I cooked him breakfast Saturday morning, and then we volunteered at a "Love Your Neighbor" event at church in the later morning and afternoon.  Sunday, we went to church with my dad and then went to Daniel's parents for lunch to see his dad.  Monday was a BIG DAY in our home.  Daniel and his dad put together Emersyn's new big girl bed, and it was her first night sleeping out of her crib.  It was very bittersweet for this mama's heart!!!  She has done WONDERFUL though with the transition... MUCH better than I ever imagined.
Tuesday night mama cooked dinner, and we celebrated my dad because my mom was keeping my grandma over Father's Day weekend.  Wednesday when Daniel got home from work, he touched up the paint on Emersyn's (now Brayden's) crib and set it up in Brayden's room.  He also painted Emersyn's new headboard from an off white color to pure white.  It was exciting to finally feel like I can begin getting both of their rooms ready now!!  Then Thursday I had another doctor's appointment.  I had several important things I wanted to ask because I was seeing my primary doctor again finally (they make you see all the doctor's in the office).  Brayden's heart rate was in the 150s again.  My blood pressure, iron and thyroid levels were normal.  We are supposed to go with Daniel's family to the beach Saturday, but I wanted to first get the okay from my doctor.  When I asked him, I was nervous with his response since I would be 35-36 weeks on the trip.  He surprisingly said I should be fine just to stay hydrated and to stop several times on the drives.  I also talked to him about the actual labor and delivery.  Because I had such a rough time getting Emersyn to come into this world, I have been more anxious about delivery with Brayden than I ever knew to be with Emersyn.  We discussed her whole labor/delivery, and I asked him several questions.  First, I had Cervidil with Emersyn to help me dilate but it did not help me progress at all and had terrible cramping side effects.  He said they could try something different this time if I did not dilate enough on my own.  He said I only needed to be dilated to 2cm for them to induce with Pitocin.  I never dilated past 1/2cm before induction with Emersyn.  I am ultimately praying that I go into full blown labor with no Pitocin or anything this time around, but if that cannot happen, hopefully I can at least progress to 2cm on my own.  I also asked if there was anyway to know ahead of time if the cord was wrapped around his neck as Emersyn's was.  He said they could do an ultrasound but usually don't because you cannot see (I'm guessing because baby is too far in birth canal at that point).  Finally, I asked him about the Epidural.  When I received the Epidural with Emersyn, my blood pressure dropped (bottom number was in the 40s) and Emersyn's heart rate dropped.  They gave me oxygen and decided to prep me for a C-section... but I begged them to try anything else besides a C-section.  After turning me side to side, we found that as long as I was turned to my right side her heart rate was okay (later learned this was because cord was around her neck).
Miss Anything? Being able to bend over quickly.  I am over picking up anything from the ground.  I have gotten really good at using my toes to pick things up, and Emersyn is a wonderful help as well!!
Movement: He's still very active and on the move anytime I sit or lay down to relax.

Food cravings: I've been on a hamburger steak kick this week for some reason.  Some other foods I've enjoyed have been baked potatoes, breads, cereal, fruit, chicken, salads and I always need G2 Gatorade on hand.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mama made squash in the oven with onions.  I tried to eat it because I LOVE squash... but the onion taste was not worth it.  When we ate Sunday lunch at Daniel's parents there was a chocolate dessert (which I would normally attack), but I decided to eat a second potato as my dessert instead.  Brayden is not a chocolate lover like his mama.
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: It's a BOY!!
Symptoms: Pretty much the same as usual... bloating, throat burn, some heart burn, swollen legs by the end of the day, and simply feeling like I could pop any minute.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Looks like we will be beaching it next week with Daniel's family!!  Excited to have one last trip before brother comes :)
