36 Weeks

How far along? 36 weeks
Baby size: Honeydew, 5.78 lb, 18.66 in (crown to heel)
Total weight gain/loss: 23 pounds as of last doctor's appointment
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No, so far so good.

Sleep: We were at the beach with Daniel's family this past week.  Sleep was fair.  Of course no bed is like yours at home :)  I had hot flashes on and off pretty much every night.  Our room seemed to be much hotter than other parts of the house.  I was exhausted by bedtime each night so falling asleep was not a problem... the issue was staying asleep.  There were a few nights I had to wake to use the bathroom around 3ish and couldn't go back to sleep.  Daniel, Emersyn and I slept together all week in a queen bed so our first night back home in my own bed was HEAVENLY!!  And I actually took a nap in my bed our first day home during Emersyn's nap time.  I was so knocked out that I did not hear her wake even though the monitor was right beside me.  She got out of her bed and walked to my bedroom and said, "Mommy, time to wake up!!"
Best moment this week:
Watching our sweet Emersyn have a BALL at the beach.  She loves everything about it!!!  The sand, water, ice cream, extra snuggle time with mommy and daddy and FREEDOM to run all around outside.  Thankfully the weather was very nice for the end of June, mostly in the lower 80s.  We loved sharing this quality time together before we become a family of four.
Miss Anything? Being able to bend easily, energy, and being able to endure heat.  I am so over hot weather!!
Movement: He rolls all around when I am sitting or laying down.  There are a few times he hits a nerve and makes me double over.  It was fun watching him move my belly all around while I was sitting on the beach this week!!

Food cravings: I bought a bag of peaches to take to the beach, and they were probably my favorite food all week!!  I had a bowl of Cheerios with a peach cut up in them everyday I think.  Watermelon was also very refreshing as well as cantaloupe.  For lunch I lived on turkey and tomato, ham and tomato, or pimento cheese and tomato sandwiches.  Honestly, dinners are nothing special to me, and I prefer simple salads, sandwiches or cereal over anything.  By the end of the day I am so swollen and bloated in my belly, I really do not want to eat foods because I feel more miserable.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still care nothing for seafood, I enjoyed chocolate chip cookies but the brownies and chocolate cake we had I could turn down easily (again not the real me).  Breakfast meats and eggs don't settle well.  One morning they fried bacon in a pan, and the smell of bacon grease made me queasy.
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: It's a BOY!!
Symptoms: Throat burn in afternoons/evenings, some heart burn, bloating in evenings, tender belly button, not able to sit up long, heavy calves every night, and I did have swelling towards the end of the beach week and especially after the ride home.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Getting things done!!!  I'm almost to panic mode because we still have A LOT to do in very little time.  We also have one more ultrasound next Thursday, so I hope we can get some good views of Brayden and possibly get an idea if he is wanting to arrive early or if he is too comfy to leave mommy like his big sister was.

Getting ready to leave our house for the beach!!  She was super excited!!

She had tons of fun playing with her cousins.

Only family pic from that night... it was pouring rain right before we left for dinner.
Beachin' it!!

My very active child was in heaven with all the room in the world to run around and play on!!!  FREEDOM!!!
She made Daniel go on daily runs with her!
Trying to catch minnows

The weather was very pleasant to be the last week in June... but by the afternoon, you could usually find me trying to stay cool under the tent :)
Daniel, being the awesome daddy he is, built a huge swimming hole for the kids to play in.  Once the tide came in and it filled with water, the kids had a blast jumping in their "pool."

You could say she was a bit obsessed with her cousins for the week ;)
